OUR DESIRE
Kubernesis Consulting was established from a desire to help organisations to tackle one of the biggest and most time-consuming challenges they face in their day-to-day operations. That is, their administration. Every organisation needs to function with some portion of administrative tasks regardless of their purpose or their passion.
WHY KUBERNESIS?
Kubernesis is the Greek word for administration found in 1 Corinthians 12:28. It describes administration as steering the ship. In other words, good administration practices and processes help organisations navigate the course that they follow through missing the rocks, finding the best passage through the waters, adjusting the sails to catch the prevailing winds and guiding the decisions around which turn to make.
The heart behind Kubernesis Consulting is just that, to help you find out where the rocks are, what the best passage is, how and when to adjust the sails and to know which turn is the right one.
How we do this is based on 40 years of church volunteer leadership experience and 25 years of business administration expertise. This experience and expertise allows us to find innovative and effective ways to help you in your administrative processes.
OUR FOUNDER
Shannon Drury began organising and administrating businesses in his early teens by helping his dad’s lawnmowing business. Around the same time, he began serving in his local church, helping with setup and graphics during church services. As he progressed through his teenage years, his organisation skills and servant heart were further developed.
A graduate of Hillsong College, Shannon has a burning desire to see God’s people achieve all that they are called to do.
The year 2000 saw Shannon begin his Human Resources career utilising his administration skills to help look after the most important part of any organisation, their people.
He has added to this experience through working in not-for-profit community sports clubs and recently spent 4.5 years working in the higher education field overseeing project management and administrative practices.
Shannon holds a Master of Arts (Organisational Leadership) from Alphacruicis University College, a Master of Business Administration from Charles Sturt University and a Diploma of Ministries from Hillsong College.
